Comments / Discussion

We enthusiastically welcome our participation in this project as a member of the community of believers. We encourage article submission by many authors on many subjects relating to the Hebraic cultural perspective of studying the Bible. This will provide for an interesting variety of perspective and insight as we nurture the spirit of discipleship.

We also want to hear your impressions and comments to help us determine if we are on the right path. It will be an encouragement to us to know how we are doing as you might conclude that this project represents a significant effort on our part. So please read what people will soon be posting on the Discussion Forum and login yourself to submit your comments. (Instructions on how to do that are found below.)

Article Submission

Here’s your opportunity to get published on the web! We hope you will send us article for inclusion in this devotional Bible study and we have tried to make that as convenient as possible.
Please read the guidelines found on the Article Submission Information page and then use the Article Submission Form to send us your material.

About “Water From the Rock”

Welcome to "Water from the Rock"! Join us on this journey through the Bible as we walk slowly, peaking under every rock, looking up and down and around, closing our eyes and listening intently to experience everything that we can soak in. We don’t know exactly where our Guide is going to take us, but this is His territory and He has much to teach us. We will explore the rich treasures of scripture packed to overflowing by authors who knew only how to communicate through story and picture. We will see that they are assuming that we know scripture very well, and we may find out that we might not.

In typical Hebraic fashion, the title is multi-dimensional in meaning and simultaneously reminds us of the living water of En-Gedi, the miracle at Mt. Sinai, and Jesus Christ, the ultimate source of living water. We hope that you will want to start every morning with a refreshing drink of "mayim chayim"! These articles will take the form of Hebraic / biblical image "nuggets" based on passages of scripture. We hope they will supply nourishment for your hot dry days so you can bear much fruit!

We hope you will join us each weekday for “Water from the Rock” by reading what your friends are sharing about their discoveries. Because the Lord has gifted all of us differently and leads us down different paths, so much good comes from studying together in community. We also hope that you will want to participate in this project by sending us your contributions and encourage your friends to do the same. You can read the guidelines for how to do that above.
