   Group Study Suggestions:

We've had feedback from people who have found many varied ways to share the book with a group. One pastor reads the essays for family devotions, and shows his children the pictures. A teacher at a Christian school reads these Hebrew nuggets to his Spanish class! And many small groups and adult education classes are studying one or two chapters each week.

Each short essay is intended to leave you with an insight that will unlock many passages in later study. But you can get a much greater appreciation for each concept by working through the Study Questions, where you can look at the idea in other passages. Comparing translations and having discussions a group often yields many insights, because a variety of interpretations come together to complement each other..

For a fascinating study time, we suggest that you have several English versions of the Bible available, to be able to compare how each has phrased a passage. It is often interesting to have a literal version, one or two dynamic translations, and also the Jewish Tanakh published by the Jewish Publication Society, which is what we call the "Old Testament".

We also suggest you have at least one study Bible available with commentary notes on verses. These are often very helpful in understanding nuances of the text.
